A friend told me yesterday that the house she rented was owned by a Norwood man who won't finish the exterior of the house to avoid his taxes from going up. Can we remove that from being a hindrance from improving our community's properties? Either a penalty equal to the amount the assessment might increase if not remedied after a period of time (no more than 12 months, to cover construction seasons); or, what may effectively be equal to a PILOT for homeowners (not paying the increase in taxes for making improvements) for a period of several years?

I know the Village is having a hard time securing the resources to overhaul the footbridge; but, the second piece of that original project may still be possible with the help of our Alcoa neighbors. The idea was to create a trail from outer Main Street to the Intake, for biking, walking, running -- what a great, safe way to better connect our residents and visitors to the beautiful St. Lawrence River!

There are multiple in ground fuel tanks at the location that will have to be removed as well as soil remediation. Who will pick up the tab for this ? The taxpayer ?

I think it would look really nice if all the trees in downtown were decorated with white lights during the Christmas season, like they do in canton.

I think you should poll the residents as to whether or not your changes to the cleanup processes were successful or not. Judging from the vouchers that weren't used last year, I would say more revamping should be done, other then expanding the days and hours the transfer station is open. Alot of these residents and other members of the community either don't have a truck or don't have use of or access of a truck to use. I already see the buildup of junk around, and if this method continues, you will see much more in the future. I understand the manpower aspect of the situation, but you've already cut the service in half going from twice a year to once. Would it really be such an inconvenience to just leave things the way they were? We have alot of older residents here that this is a bother for
