TOWN OF MASSENA SPRING CLEAN-UP DAYS
May 1, 2022, through May 31, 2022
(For Residents of the Town of Massena ONLY)
This service is limited to taxpayers and residents who live outside of the village of Massena ONLY. Vouchers may be obtained by calling the Town Hall @ 315-769-7109 or by email tpryce@massena.us. Leave your name, phone number, property address and mailing address. Once we have your information, your vouchers will be mailed to you on May 1, 2023. Vouchers can also be obtained in person at the Massena Town Hall starting May 1, 2023. You must present proof of residency of the Town (e.g. utility bill; tax bill).
Bring your refuse to the St. Lawrence County Transfer Station (Massena Landfill) located on State Highway 420, Massena NY.
Present your clean-up voucher to the scale operator. Once you have been weighed, the scale operator will direct you where to take and unload your refuse.
Items NOT ACCEPTED
NO Brush, leaves
NO Infectious waste, needles, or medications
NO Tires (There is a charge for disposal of tires)
NO Commercial Haulers
NO Propane Tanks
NO Hazardous waste or flammable liquids in containers
NO Liquids of any kind
NO Large-scale demolition projects (e.g. houses, garages, porches, etc.)
Items ACCEPTED
• Recyclable paper, cardboard, plastic containers, etc.
• Furniture, General household junk, televisions (must be fully intact), electronics
• All metal, stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers
• Air conditioners, etc.
• Paint (Lids must be removed from paint cans and paint residue must be dried out)
