  1. Fall Into Reading Program

    October 2, 2017 - October 31, 2017

    The Massena Public Library has started a new program "FALL INTO READING". This program will run until October 31st and is for children ages 0-12. Children will receive a bookmark at the front desk when they come and check out a book. Every time a child checks out a book they will receive a sticker to put on their bookmark. When they reach a total of six stickers they get to pick out a free book and receive a Stewart's coupon. Only one sticker per check out per day, only one bookmark per child. So what are you waiting for come check out some books today!!!

    Public invited to view the show starting on Oct. 21 at 1:00 PM and for the following two weeks. A reception open to the public with awards given and refreshments will be held on Oct. 24 at 6:30 PM.

    Are you interested in joining our book club? Come to the library for an evening of dessert and discussion on Tuesday, October 24. Our title this month is "Behold the Dreamers", by Imbolo Mbue. Jende Jonga. a Cameroonian immigrant living in Harlem has come to the United States to provide a better life for himself and his family. In the fall of 2007, Jende can hardly believe his luck when he lands a job as a chauffeur for a senior executive at Lehman Brothers. When the financial world is rocked by the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Jende is desperate to keep his job and is soon forced to make an impossible choice. All are welcome.
